[JICA to fund seven bridges damaged in floods with a $35 million grant]

Cambodia and Japan will rebuild seven bridges in need of “urgent” repair in flood-prone areas of Kratie and Prey Veng provinces with a $35 million grant from Japan. Two bridges along National Road 11 in Prey Veng and five bridges along National Road 73 in Kratie were left dilapidated after flooding in 2011 and 2013, said the news. The construction will likely begin in 2018.
