Government of Japan has donated an additional amount of US$120,000 to promote mother and child health in vulnerable areas of Kampong Cham province. Official hand-over of the financing took place recently at the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh between Ambassador H.E. Hidehisa Horinouchi and the program manager of Japanese not-for-profit organization called PH-Japan Ms. Fukushima Namiko. The funding will not only be used to strengthen services of health care offices, but also to train village health volunteers and build awareness of community people in order to ensure efficient coverage of mother and child health support.
