Japan provides $2.9 million for ECCC

Japanese government promised to grant Cambodia 2.9 million dollars for ECCC after the start of Case 002 trial proceedings last week. Japan has been known to be the biggest sponsor of the KRT since 2006; it provides total aids $70.57 million which is almost equivalent to half of the whole budget of ECCC. (Rasmei Kam.)
