On September 21 2011, EDCF Loan Agreement for Rural Roads Improvement Project was signed by Mr. Byun Sangwan, Executive Director of Korea Eximbank and H.E. Mr. Aun Porn Moniroth, Minister attatched to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Chang Hojin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda, Minister attatched to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Mr. Hing Toraxi, Secretary of State of the Council of Ministers.
2. This project is designed to improve 201.7 km of rural roads in 3 provinces of Siem Reap, Kampong Thom and Kampong Cham. For this project, the Korean government provides 21 million USD of soft loan out of the total cost of 23.3 million USD. To date, the Korean government has approved 288.9 million USD for 11 EDCF projects in Cambodia.
