KOICA to Sign to Establish Cyber University in Cambodia
Korea International Cooperation Agency, known as KOICA, will sign an agreement with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia on May 27, 2011 to kick off the implementation phase of the $1 million project called the Project for Strengthening Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam Capacity for ASEAN Cyber University for Cambodia.
This project was organized by Republic of Korea in response to the suggestion from ASEAN Secretariat at the ASEAN-KOREA Commemorative Summit in 2009 in Korea, with the objective to build the capacity of Cambodia’s ICT human resources through establishing an e-Learning center in the Institute of Technology of Cambodia and the transferring of Korean experience and knowledge, and to contribute to narrowing the digital technological gap.
