Korean Government Provides Credit Concession $18.70m to Implement Mongkol Borey Dam Development Project
The government of the Republic of Korea decided to provide credit concession $18.70m to Cambodian government to implement Mongkol Borey Dam Development Project in Banteay Meanchey province which is the 10th credit provided by Korea and make the total credit increase to approximately $268m. DPM Keat Chhon signed a credit agreement to implement this project between Cambodian government and Export-Import Bank (Exim Bank) on 31 December. According to the press release of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the credit concession will be used to develop Ta Hen dam including the construction of hydropower dam and flood monitoring system and to repair Komping Pouy dam in Battambang province. As completing, this project will provide water to irrigate agricultural land around 17, 000 hectares.
