Korea Provides around $7m to Establish Cambodia-Korea Cooperation Center
On 2 December 2010, the Office of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has organized the signing ceremony on the discussion minute on the establishment of human resource development center between the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and KOICA of the Republic of Korea amounting $7, 450, 000 which is a Korea’s grant aid. The discussion minute was signed by H.E. Im Sithy, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, and Dr. Shin Eui-cheol, KOICA’s Representative to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The signing ceremony was also participated by H.E. Chang Ho Jin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The discussion minute aims to develop human resource in Cambodia such as capacity building, providing curriculum of human resource development through strengthening vocational knowledge of professors and students in the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the capacity building of government officers, teachers in schools, universities,…etc. The project construction period will be five years located in the compound of RUPP.
