KOICA Provides $250,000 to Construct Sanitary Landfill in Siem Reap
KOICA will provide $250,000 to the Ministry of Environment to improve environment in Siem Reap. The Ministry of Environment and KOICA to Cambodia has organized a 2-day workshop on a feasibility study of the construction of sanitary landfill in Siem Reap on 7-8 Dec 2010. According to KOICA’s press release on 8 Dec, the purposes of the workshop are to 1) strengthen relationship between Cambodia and Korea through establishing environment cooperation project, 2) share relevant experiences on the feasibility study and 3) finally consider the possible methods of constructing sanitary landfill in Siem Reap. The workshop also shares the policy on sanitary management of Korea and Cambodia on the technical skill on sanitary management of Korea and environment development cooperation project in the future.
