US$72 million is a concession loan to develop Sihanoukville Port to expand its capacity and another US$10 million is grant aid for economic and social development.  Japan so far continues to be the top donor to Cambodia.

The Korean Government on Friday pledged its willingness to help in the building of a university in every province in Cambodia in a bid to pave the way for provincial and rural development.



2- JICA, Cambodia Ink Sihanoukville Port Agreement

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Economy (MEF) Keat Chhun cosigned a loan agreement with President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Suzuki Yasujiro amount for ¥7,176 million to but use in developing Cambodia’s Sihanoukville Port, an MEF official said on August 21
