Phnom Penh: The government of the Republic of Korea provides 20 units of ambulances and office equipments to Cambodia.
The Certificate of Delivery and Receipt for providing ambulances and office equipments was signed on February 18 by H.E. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and H.E. Shin Hyun-suk, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Mr. Heng Taykry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health and Director of Calmette Hospital informed that, the 20 units of ambulances, the government of Cambodia will share 9 units of ambulances to the ministry of national defense and other 11 units of ambulances for the Ministry of Health.
The office equipments were provided to the National Committee for Disaster Management such as 23 Notebooks, 23 Laser Printers, 10 Fax machines, 70 Toners for Laser Printers and 40 Toners for Fax machines.
H.E. Hor Namhong addressed that these office equipments and ambulances were very important because the ambulances were shared to the army forces and also to hospitals in Phnom Penh. The most important was the ambulances could help and relief to people in emergency situation. The equipments will significantly improve the capacity and improve works of National Committee to bring timely help from the disaster.
H.E. Shin Hyun-suk said that through these assistances he hoped that both countries, the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea will improve more the cooperation relationship.
