The
mobile circus complex, situated in front of National Assembly, which has a
seating capacity of 1,000 and is the grant aid from Vietnam, was officially
inaugurated yesterday under presidency of DPM Men Sam An with presences of
Cambodian Minister of Culture Him Chhem, Vietnamese Culture Minister Hoang Tuan
Anh and other Cambodian and Vietnamese distinguished guests. Hoang stressed
that the work is a new symbol of the comprehensive cooperation and special
friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia and will offer favorable conditions for
Cambodian circus artists to be trained. The 19-meter-height complex is built
like a textile-roof tent with moveable metal slats and equipped with high
technology. The complex’s construction had been begun since late 2010 and completely
finished this year. Presently, there have been 17 Cambodian students studying
circus arts in Vietnam, 10 in China pursuing bachelor degree in circus arts and
25 others studying in Phnom Penh. (Rasmei Kam.)
