A Center for Art Performance and Circus in Phnom Penh was officially
inaugurated on Sept. 26 under the presidency of Cambodian Permanent
Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Ms. Mam Sam An, representative of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
The 1,000-seat circus center was built at a total cost of US$1 million funded by the government of Vietnam.Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, H.E. Ms. Mam Sam An, also
Minister of Senate-National Assembly Relations and Inspection, said this
is a precious donation contributing to the development of Cambodia’s
circus field.
For their parts, Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts H.E. Him
Chhem and Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism H.E. Hoang
Tuan Anh considered the center as a symbol of cooperation, solidarity
and friendship between the two countries and peoples.
