Based on the Ministry of Economy and
Finance, Japan yesterday provided some
¥1,510
million, equivalent to US$19 million, to Cambodian government for Disaster
Rehabilitation and Mitigation Project in addition to the humanitarian
assistance instantly granted since 2011. The signing ceremony was held
yesterday between DPM Keat Chhon and Mr. Suzuki Yasujiro, JICA’s President at
the Ministry. The project is aimed to rehabilitate eight bridges along the
National Road No. 11 and improve roads and drainage system in Kampong Chhnang
province, heavily damaged by flood last year. (Rasmei Kam.)
