KOICA provides USD2.5 million to the Ministry of Rural Development to support Rural Development Integration Project in Krouch Chhmar district

Phnom Penh: The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) of the Republic of Korea will sign an agreement with the Ministry of Rural Development of Cambodia to provide grant aid 2,500,000$ for Rural Development Integration Project in Krouch Chhmar district, Kampong Cham.
An agreement will be signed on Tuesday, 06 April 2010 at the Ministry or Rural Development which will be presided over by H.E Chea Sophara, Minister of Rural Development and Mr. Kim Byung gwan, representative of KOICA to Cambodia.
According to press release of KOICA, the purposes of this project are to: 1) implement pilot project of rural development integration in 3 villages in Krouch Chmar District, Kampong Cham province, 2) request a sample and theory to reduce poverty in Cambodia rural area, 3) improve the capacity building of central and regional level management to conduct a plan of monitoring and evaluation of the project and 4) advise and include new agricultural technical skill to establish new income source and generate income. The project will be implemented for 24 months.
