Last week, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) handed over the 86,000,000KRW (about 89000 USD) electric office equipments to Ministry of Commerce.
The ceremony, in which electronic office equipments such as photocopy machines, laser printers, scanners, computers, notebooks and other spare parts was handed over, was presided by H.E. Mr. KEM Sithan, Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce, and Mr. Kim Byung-gwan, Representative of KOICA office in Cambodia.
According to press release of KOICA office based in Cambodia, main office equipments were given to liaison office of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia that is one of the partners in implementing the Project for Capacity Building in the Trade in Goods and Services for Cambodia.
This hand-over is one of the achievements coming from the cooperation between KOICA and Ministry of Commerce after the two sites signed the Record of Discussion (R/D) to implement “The Project for Capacity Building in the Trade in Goods and Services for Cambodia” for two years (2004-2005), with the budget of eight hundred seventy thousand US dollars (US $870,000).
The press release also said that the purpose of this project is to enhance the implementation of the country’s WTO commitment and felicitate Cambodia economic integration into ASEAN free trade/investment.
