Keat Chhon, Senior minister and minister of Economy and Finance Thursday announced plans to set up the stock market in Cambodia which will be managed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the cooperation with Korean Exchange that declared the launch of “Securities Market Establishment Project” on Thursday, September 6, 2007 by Prime Minister Hun Sen. This stock market will establish in 2009.

5- Japan Gives $4 Million to Deminers
Japan will grant $4 million to the government demining authority, for the development of better techniques and equipment as it struggles to rid itself of a lasting legacy of war. The money would go to the Cambodian Mine Action Center, which helps Cambodia play an important role in developing mine clearance methods used around the world, Japanese Ambassador Shinohara Katsuhiro said Thursday morning, in a ceremony that was also attended by Foreign Minister Hor Namhong.

7-WB donates 70 mln USD for three development projects in Cambodia
The World Bank (WB) has signed agreements with the Cambodian government to grant the kingdom 70 million U.S. dollars of aid to support three development projects, local media said on Thursday. Among the money, 18.5 million U.S. dollars will go for an energy project along the Mekong River, 15 million U.S. dollars for a poverty reduction project, and the rest for a rural investment and local governance project, Cambodian-language newspaper the Koh Santhepheab quoted Nisha Agrawal, WB's country director, as saying.
