Cambodian Ministry of Relations with Parliament and Inspection will receive some 62,500 U.S. dollars worth of office and transportation equipment from the Chinese government, officials said on Monday.
Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Zhang Jinfeng and Men Sam On, minister of Relations with Parliament and Inspection signed the related note of exchange in Phnom Penh.
The specific matters of the grant will be decided later, the note said.
China expects the grant to help improve the working conditions and enhance the efficiency and level of office automation of the ministry, said Zhang.
The cooperation range between the two countries is becoming wider than before, and the two countries are preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral ties in 2008, she added.
Men Sam On said that the grant will be very precious for her ministry and can help promote the bilateral relations.
"China always extends its helping hands when we have difficulties," she added.
In March this year, Men Sam On received a delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Supervision and both sides discussed matters of cooperation and programs of exchange.
Men Sam On's ministry is obliged to inspect the work of other ministries and coordinate the ties between the government and the legislative bodies.
