In a bid to reduce high electricity fees in remote provinces, Cambodia is going to get a World Bank grant to construct a trans border transmission line across Vietnam and Laos.
US$18.5 million will be provided to Cambodia by the World Bank.
This will lead to the country's poorest provinces benefiting from reduced power prices and consistency in supply.
Power tariff has been running high for years in Cambodia due to lack of infrastructure for electricity generation.
