government has decided to additionally grant €4.8 million for the Green Belt
Project in Siem Reap, said Mr. Hans Jurgen Beer Fehz, Secretary of State for
Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany on 08 October during the
meeting with DPM Sok An, adding that the aid will help farmers in that regions
to better their livelihoods through crop plantation for sale to companies,
restaurants, guesthouses, hotels and so on so as to help promote tourism sector
in that region. So far, Germany has provided up to 12 million EUR to this
sector and now additionally granted €4.8 million for the continuation of the
