Government has officially made an announcement on its assistance provision to the
Council for Administrative Reform (CAR) from 2 to 3 years concerning the
cooperation project on feasibility study for consulting on “reinforcing the
capabilities of Cambodian public officials” which will begin in the upcoming
August 2012. The pronouncement was made yesterday afternoon at the Office of
Council of Ministers during the meeting between Cambodia and Korea represented
by Ngo Hongly, CAR Secretary General, and Cho Hwan Bok, Commissioner of the
Ministry of Public Administration and Security, respectively. According to Pol
Pido, CAR Deputy Secretary General, this cooperation project is resulted from
the visit of Ngo Hongly to Korea in 2011 and that of Korean Minister of Public
Administration and Security to Cambodia, the time when the Korean minister met
with DPM Sok An, who proposed to the Korean ministry to help the administrative
reform sector, and the request was accepted.
In yesterday meeting, Secretary General Ngo informed the delegation of
Cambodia’s progress in administrative reform sector and extended thanks to ROK
for its support provided to this sector. (Rasmei Kam.)
