With reference to the press
release of EU on 3 July, EU commission has decided to extend aid for 5 new
projects to help 70,000 flood victims in October 2011. The five projects are
worth 3.45 million euros which will be implemented by the EU commission’s
partner organizations such as Oxfam GB, FRC, ACTED, WVUK and DCA. The aid is
offered in addition to the previous 2.5-million-euro aid, provided immediately
after the flooding catastrophe in 2011. (Rasmei Kam.)
