EU has pledged to continue its support to Cambodia in three
different fields with over 43 million Euros, Ouch Borith, Secretary of State,
said yesterday at a press conference at the end of the seventh Joint Committee
Meeting between the Cambodian government and EU. “The EU will provide some 20
million Euros to support Cambodia’s agricultural field, 15 million Euros for
decentralization strengthening and US$8 million for public financial
management,” he said. For the three-day meeting, he added, both governments had
constructively conversed about all aspects of relations between Cambodia and EU
by putting foci on Cambodia’s reform and the progress of bilateral relations on
trade and investment cooperation on natural resource development and management
plus the impacts on human rights sector in relation to economic land concession
and other concessions. (Rasmei Kam.)
