Phnom Penh: Japan has
pledged to strengthen good cooperation with Cambodia in all fields, particular
on legislative sector, Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Mr. KUMAMARU Yuji
said during yesterday meeting with president of Cambodia’s National Assembly
Samdech Heng Samrin at Peace Palace. “As a representative of Ambassador, I will
make an effort to strengthen bilateral ties and diplomatic relations so as to
improve cooperation between Cambodia and Japan in all fields, particular on the
relation of the two countries’ parliaments. Furthermore, I hope
that senior leaders and the member of parliaments of Cambodia and Japan will pay
official visit to both countries in order to further enhance the relations.
Besides, the relationship of the two countries was established for long time since
Japan helped Cambodia in improving infrastructure as well as training Cambodian
human resources”, he added.
For
his part, Samdech Heng Samrin has warmly welcomed for diplomatic mission of H.E. KUMAMARU
Yuji
in Cambodia, saying that diplomatic relations of the two countries will be
further strengthened, and Japanese Ambassador will continue good cooperation
with the legislative body, executive body as well as the ministries in Cambodia
so as to boost the bilateral ties and diplomatic relations between the two
countries and nations. In addition, he would like to express his profound
thanks the Japanese
government for so far supporting and providing Cambodia with grant aids, technical
aids as well as contributing to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 7
