The Chinese Government Grants Aid and Loan of Over 500 Million USD to Cambodia

Phnom Penh: The Chinese government granted aid of 300 million Yuans (approximately 48 million USD) and concessional loan (500 million USD) to Cambodia so as to improve Cambodia’s economic development. Through this aid, the Chinese government has suggested Cambodia to successfully implement the project since it is very important for Cambodia to develop and to improve people’s livelihood. The Chinese Premier Mr. Li Kequiang considered the official visit of Premier Hun Sen as the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Cambodia and the "China-Cambodia Friendship”. For his part, Premier Hun Sen thanked China for its long-term support to Cambodia, saying that China and Cambodia are true friends and good partners. (Rasmei Kampuchea, 10 April)
