Penh: The Japanese government has provided US$ 77.283
to professional education organization for poverty reduction and social
development for school building project at ro leap primary school in Pursat
province. On 13 February 2013, aid pledge was
signed by Mr. Yoshihiro HIGUCHI, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of Japan
Embassy to Cambodia and Mr. Thong Sarun, Executive Director of professional
education organization for poverty reduction and social development. Mr. Yoshihiro HIGUCHI said the
purpose of providing grant aid is to ensure the education environment and to equip
water tank with capacity equal to 12 cubic meters. Mr. Thong Sarun thanked
Japanese government for providing grant aid since it is very important for the
students to reduce the school drop rate and encourage them to study regularly
as well as ensure the education sector in Cambodia. (Rasmei Kampuchea)
