Japan is known to remain
Cambodia’s top donor country providing almost US$70 M in total Official
Development Assistance (ODA) plus grant aids and technical assistances totaled
US$1,760 M; all of which are mostly contributed to agricultural sector,
Agriculture Minister Chan Sarun underlined during the meeting with Mr.
Teruyoshi Kumashiro, Director General of JICA’s Rural Development Department,
to check the result of implementation of JICA’s aids and cooperation projects,
on last Thursday 2012. He further added there have been lots of Japan’s aids
through JICA, offered to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
including human resource training for 287 ministry’s officials from short-term
