Phnom Penh (KOICA Cambodia Office, July 06, 2012): The
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Ministry of Environment
and Phnom Penh Capital Hall launched a ceremony to sign Agreement of
Multi-Year Capacity Development Program on Asian Resource Re-circulated
Societies on July 06, 2012 at KOICA Cambodia Office.
This
arrangement signed by Dr. Shin Eui Cheol, Representative of KOICA in
Cambodia, H.E Lonh Heal, Director General of Ministry of Environment and
Mrs. Kim Vathanak Thida, Deputy Director of Phnom Penh Capital Hall.
This
program supported by KOICA of the Republic of Korea and Korea
Environment Corporation (KECO). It aims to (1) establish adaptable
policy and strategy by introducing strategies for resource
re-circulation and waste management system and technologies, (2) foster
environment specialists to develop waste management training programs
and promotes a campaign through a public information program.
According
to the agreement, the program will be implemented for 3 years from 2012
to 2014 with 4 countries such as Cambodia, Bangladesh, Lao PDR and Sri
Langka. There are 4 participants of different levels from 3 years: 1st year: High Ranking Officials (4 persons), 2nd year: Middle Manager (4 persons), 3rd year: Working Level (4 persons) for each country.
