Phnom Penh: Ministry of Health received aid 3.5 million US$ from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for establishment of Batheay Referral Hospital in Kampong Cham province. June 2011.
This aid agreement was signed by Dr. MAM Bunheng, Minister of Health and Dr. Shin Eui Cheol, Representative of KOICA Cambodia office with the honorable participation of Deputy Prime Minister HOR Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on 10th
According to the Press Release of Korean International Cooperation Agency revealed that the purpose of this aid is to construct the hospital building, equipments supplies and improve the capacity of hospital staff by applying Korean medical skill in order to reducing infant and maternal mortality rates in Cambodia. June 2011.
KOICA’s aid of 3.5 million US$ is for establishment of Batheay Referral Hospital, equipments and training the human resources in the field of Health, said the Minister of Health on 10th Batheay Referral hospital is a potential location in providing healthcare service for local people because it is located in between Kampong Cham and Kandal province, he added.
